Steps in the Express Entry Process:

Create an Online Express Entry Profile: Eligible candidates create a detailed online profile, providing information about their work experience, education, language skills, and other relevant details.

Criteria for Acceptance into the Pool: Candidates who meet the criteria for one of the skilled immigration programs mentioned above are accepted into the Express Entry pool. However, being in the pool doesn't guarantee an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.

Factors Affecting ITA: Several factors affect the likelihood of receiving an ITA, including having a job offer supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) and provincial nominations. While registering with Employment and Social Development Canada's Job Bank is an option, it's not mandatory. Candidates can also seek employment through other means.

Obtain an Invitation to Apply (ITA): Candidates in the Express Entry pool are ranked against each other using the Comprehensive Ranking arrangement (CRS), a points-based arrangement. Points are awarded based on factors such as skills, work experience, job offers, and provincial nominations. Those with the highest CRS scores are issued ITAs.

Apply for Permanent Residence: Once an applicant receives an ITA, they have 60 days to submit an online application for permanent residence, including the necessary documents and fees.

Remaining in the Pool: Candidates who don't receive an ITA can remain in the pool for up to 12 months. After that, if they still meet the criteria for their chosen skilled immigration program, they can create a new Express Entry profile.
