Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residence (ITAs)

Applicants fortunate enough to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) become eligible to apply for permanent residence in Canada. This ITA notification comes directly from Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and includes guidance on which skilled immigration program the applicant should apply for and how to initiate the permanent residence application process.

It's crucial to understand that receiving an ITA does not automatically guarantee an applicant's approval as a permanent resident. Following the receipt of an ITA, applicants must complete and submit a comprehensive application for permanent residence, which will undergo a review to determine if the applicant meets the relevant criteria.
